Seguin RCA Board of Directors
I am proud to present the Seguin RCA 2016-2017 Board of Directors. As you read the backgrounds of the Seguin RCA Board members you will notice it is a diverse group of individuals. The board has one thing in common…to serve individuals with disabilities and their families. The board members are unpaid volunteers who serve in various positions.
My father, Ralph Salvino, Jr., was involved in this organization from 1975-2004. He served in many functions including president and past president. My father’s motto was: “What is best for the organization.” This has become the mission statement of the Seguin RCA Board of Directors.

Ralph Salvino III –President
Ralph had a sister with disabilities and has been involved with Seguin for more than twenty years. He served on the board for many of those years. Ralph owns and works with race horses and has worked for Salvino Hauling for eight years.
Robert Grecco – Past President
Bob has been a board member of Seguin RCA for more than twenty years and was president for two years. Bob received his Bachelor degree from DePaul University and is a CPA. Bob had family members who were developmentally disabled.
Bruce Kimball – First Vice President
Bruce is a retired Engineering Manager and had a daughter with cerbral palsy. Bruce has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Business. He has served on the Board of Directors in various managerial positions with agencies serving persons with disabilities for 35+ years and has been on the Seguin RCA board for more than 10 years.
Eileen Tumpach – Second Vice President
Eileen has been involved with Seguin RCA for more than forty years and had a disabled brother. She has served on the Seguin RCA board as secretary and director. Eileen worked in the travel business for more than thirty years and travels extensively.
Maria Winn – Secretary
Maria has a brother with disabilities and has been involved with Seguin RCA for more than ten years. Maria works in Chicago as a court reporter since graduating college.
Charlene R. Brozas – Treasurer
Charlene has a sister with disabilities and has been involved with Seguin RCA for over forty years. She is past board president and retired as Seguin RCA administrative assistant. She has a Master’s degree in marketing communications and has worked many years in the marketing/advertising fields as a project coordinator.
Janet Miller - Director
Janet Miller has a sister with developmental disabilities and has been involved with Seguin for more than thirty years. Janet worked in the accounting field for many years.
Gordie Kaplan - Director
Gordie retired in 2016 as Executive Director of the American Camping Association Illinois. Gordie has been involved with the camp movement since childhood and continued to live his passion, "better camping for all," throughout his professional career.
Jessica Papp - Director Over the past fifteen years Jessica worked in the nonprofit sector, with organizations ranging from helping the uninsured/underinsured, early childhood literacy, people with special needs, and most recently, empowering women who are unemployed and/or underemployed. She is excited to join the Seguin RCA Board and looks forward to helping it continue to thrive.
Helen Kossler - Director
Helen has worked in the field of special education from many perspectives: teacher, parent of chilren and adults with special needs. What Helen has learned from those experiences is that what connects us is greater than what separates us. She is firmly committed to expanding opportunities for employment, recreation and friendship betwen and among people whether or not they are disabled.
Mark Holstein - Executive Director
Mark has been connected with several area residential camps over his career such as Shady Oaks Camp, Timber Pointe and Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois. In addition he has worked in several residential programs with youth and has a wide range of experience with childlren and adults with disabilities and their families. He comes to Seguin RCA with experience in fundraising, camp accreditation and program development.
Melissa LoGiurato - Administrative Assistant
Melissa has been with Seguin RCA since 2009. She volunteers at Westmont High School working with students and their families. She enjoys spending time with her husband and three sons, one of whom is in the Navy.
Karen Horning, Camp Site Manager
Karen worked six summers at Shady Oaks Camp in Homer Glen, IL, where she supervised counselors in the care of campers with disabilities. She worked five years at St. Colleta's of Illinois in Palos Park. She also worked as a CILA Manager for the Janet Wattles Center in Rockford, IL and as Services Coordinator at Access Services of Northern Illinois in Loves Paark, IL. She has a bachelor's degree in Social Work.
Karen will work from the Camp Seguin RCA office in Winnebago, IL.
